First of all, I’d like to express my gratitude for being blessed with knowing each and every one of you. Helping you all design an inspired plan and execute on it is why I joined this profession. We’ve accomplished a lot so far in 2023. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge all the hard work on your end and look forward to further achievements and success in 2024. Thank you all, not just for your trust in me, but also because you’ve made it possible for me to give back:
- In the middle of the year, I joined Advisers Give Back, a new digital pro bono service that matches underserved consumers who can’t afford advice with credentialed financial planners like me. My fellow CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ volunteers and I educate them and help them reclaim control of their financial lives. So far I’ve been able to work with 13 pro bono clients and donate 18 hours of my time. It’s been an amazingly rewarding experience, so I hope to increase my volunteer hours substantially in 2024.
- As many of you know, I have also committed to donating 10% of investment management fees. Since Hesperian Wealth’s founding, we’ve supported As You Sow, the Natural Capital Project based at Stanford, and the Afya Foundation with advance donations.
If I don’t see you before the end of the year, enjoy the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends—and the rest of the holiday season too!
